Abstract:For the photovoltaic and intermittent energy power generation power fluctuation, this paper presents a novel multiport isolated converter topology and its control strategy of combination cascade type for hybrid energy storage. The device consists of battery packs, super capacitor packs, multiport isolated half-bridge DC/DC converter and cascaded H-bridge DC/AC converter. The working principle of this topology is analyzed, and then combined the corresponding control strategy, through the sliding average filter algorithm, the outside given power instructions will be in all storage allocation units; and finally, this paper makes a quantitative analysis on economic benefits of the device based on the simulation results and the actual project data. The results of simulation show that the proposed topology can be effectively combined with the characteristics of super capacitor of high power density, fast response speed and battery applied to stabilize the long periodic slow power fluctuation, improving the operation of intermittent power grid power quality and dispatchableability, while avoiding the battery charge and discharge frequently. The device can be used for high power energy storage power station based on battery and super-capacitor hybrid energy storage (BSHES), to realize the function of smoothing renewable energy power generation output power and frequency or voltage modulation in the micro grid; each module can realize high integration degree and modular production, so it has a broad application prospect.
