A new comprehensive evaluation method considering the coordination coefficient of sub-goals is proposed. Based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method, the dispersion analysis is first applied to study the difference of evaluation values between the sub-goals. Therefore, a new definition named mutual coordination coefficient is deduced in order to describe the derivation of evaluation values. With this mutual coordination coefficient, the coordination matrix is established and comprehensive coordination coefficient is developed. As a result, the AHP evaluation calculation method is improved by coordination coefficient to analyze the coordination of the distribution network. The contribution of sub-goals in significance as well as coordination to the total evaluation value is taken into account in this method at the same time. So, not only the comprehensive score of the evaluation sample can be calculated, but also the balance can be judged objectively. Finally, the 10 kV low voltage distribution networks in six different areas are analyzed, and the results indicate the feasibility and effectiveness of this method.
