A scheme of optimal auto-reclosing is proposed in this paper. Single phase is tripped for single-phase-earth-fault, two phases are tripped for two-phase-earth-fault and either fault phase is tripped for two-phase unearth fault in the scheme. Further more, the switches reclose at optimal reclosing time by phase for instantaneous fault and shut down reclosure for permanent fault.
