    摘要:

    统一潮流控制器(Unified Power Flow Controller, UPFC)是为实现对交流线路的实时控制和动态补偿而提出的串并联混合型灵活交流输电系统装置,其换流器和直流侧的故障特征复杂,对保护要求高。首先介绍基于模块化多电平换流器(Modular Multilevel Converter, MMC)的UPFC基本结构与工作原理,其次分析了换流器和直流侧几种典型故障的故障特征。在此基础上,给出了换流器和直流侧保护配置方案。针对换流器桥臂单相接地故障和直流侧单极接地故障情况下保护可靠性低的问题,提出了改进的保护配置方案。最后结合RTDS仿真实验,验证了所给出的UPFC保护配置方案的有效性。

    Abstract:

    The Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) is one of the Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices used in transmission line for real-time control and dynamic compensation. The converter and DC side have complicated fault characteristics, the effect of fault is an inevitable issue. This paper first introduces the basic structure and operating principle of MMC-UPFC, next analyzes fault characteristics of several typical converter side and DC side fault. According to the analysis, the protection scheme for MMC-UPFC converter and DC side is proposed. Moreover, aiming at the problem that conventional differential protection for converter arm single-phase-to-ground fault and DC side single-pole-to-ground fault cannot meet the requirement of reliability, an improved protection scheme is proposed. Simulation results based on Real-Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) verify the proposed protection scheme.
