In order to adapt the change of the grid operating mode of UHV AC/DC high power grid and fulfill the demands of the state grid relay protection integrated setting calculation, it is necessary to establish the grid full model, and can also do hierarchical management, maintenance and application based on the model. This paper proposes a hierarchical management method of multilevel grid full model based on the variation in the model. Considering the different characteristics of formation, maintenance and application stages at all levels of the data model exchanging process, the different methods are employed during the three different stages in exchanging process. This method can guarantee the accuracy of grid model and also improve the analytical and splicing efficiency of grid model. During the development of the relay integration protection setting platform, this paper applies the above methods to manage relay setting full data models of different dispatching unit, the result verifies the correctness and practicability of the method.
