This paper presents a review on theories and methods of hydrothermal coordination scheduling while one independent power producer holds both hydroelectric plants and thermal generations under the circumstance of electric power market, which minimizes the total cost of electric power enterprise. And it also amply expounds the achievements of all kinds of methods and the future direction of the research.
