The power quality becomes more and more important and close attention is gradually paid to power quality by electric industry and consumers. At present the domestic and foreign power quality monitoring instruments have some disadvantages to implementation in China. This paper describes the technical features and basic functions of Open Power Quality Management System newly developed and the design of program modules. In the end, it predicts the vista of the application.
